A couple weeks ago, I focused on a few quick turns. This is another small scrap of green beech that I turned into another little bowl.
This is a piece of dry maple. The same maple as the bowl with the bark from my previous postings. I wasn’t happy with the interior of that bowl, so decided if it were a mortar, the interior wouldn’t matter as much 😆
Finally, I put a couple chunks of branch on the lathe…

And turned a couple of these. The tall one is 8-9” tall. They will probably crack as they dry, but that will just add character. I believe they’re now on display in a restaurant in Baltimore.
