At the moment, I have no events on the calendar. But the arts and crafts festival season is approaching (along with spring …) and I am busy sending in applications and booth fees. If you are here, you already know that I have become enthralled with wood turning. Some people are very interested in my adventure, some not so much. I thought this would be the best way to share what I’m doing, and people can check it out, or not, based on their interest. I hope you enjoy this. Feel free to leave comments or ask questions.
My goal with this site is not to show off… okay there may be a bit of “look what I did !”… What I really want to do here is to show all the good and the bad, my successes and failures. Maybe this is just fun to scroll through. Maybe you see something you like (talk to me!). Maybe I inspire you to take on a new adventure, to learn something totally outside your usual sphere. To paraphrase a new family slogan, let’s just dive in and get the screwing up over with.
If turning in particular is interesting to you, and you just want to try it to see how it feels, come on over. I’d be glad to spend a couple hours with you and help you make shavings. It’s so satisfying, and such a confidence builder. And I find I learn more about my own skills by teaching others. So it’s a win-win.
